Welcome to the Western District! Our geography covers approximately 60,000 square miles across the lakes and the trees of the boreal forest on the great Canadian Shield. Freemason Lodges are located in some of the larger of the far flung communities including; Kenora, Dryden, Fort Frances, Sioux Lookout, Red Lake and Atikokan.
We embrace the remoteness and rugged beauty of Northwestern Ontario. While we Masons meet in the lodge in formal black tie attire, we also happily change into our outdoors wear to enjoy the fishing, hunting, hiking and other awesome activities that define our wilderness and our District.

The travel distances are relatively lengthy between our lodges. As such, there have been instances where Brethren have hired aircraft to visit on important evenings!
