Greetings Brothers, From Golden Star Lodge No. 484, G.R.C. Please help us create a remarkable new gavel for our Lodge. We have a desire to send this gavel to 484 Lodges, countrywide and worldwide. We ask that you open and close your Lodge with this gavel. During your Meeting, please explain our purpose to your members. Please ask for a Brother or Brothers to carry the gavel to a meeting, at another Lodge, in the near future. The sooner the better, we do want it to visit 484 Lodges in a reasonable amount of time. It could take 2 years or 10 years to accomplish this Masonic journey. Before the gavel leaves your Lodge would you take the time to scan the QR code on the gavel and visit our website. The site will have a fillable form to enter details of your meeting: Your Lodge name, number, jurisdiction and country. The number of members and guest present at the meeting. Please include highlights of your meeting, note any special guests, degrees conferred or Masonic charity. Also include the name and contact details of the brother(s) entrusted to carry the gavel to the next meeting. We have a District Gavel with a heritage, crafted by a Worshipful Master and his father, in his father's shop, made from old Lodge furniture from two different Lodges. The new Gavel has a heritage as well. Crafted by a Worshipful Master in his father’s shop. I wished my father was still here to help. He loved to travel to other Lodges in our District and would appreciate the visitation that this Gavel will encourage. We intend to use the Gavel at Initiations. At the end of the ceremony, it will be explained to our new Brother, that the Gavel represents the unbroken chain of 484 lodges that help ornament the Gavel. Should he ever need assistance, there is a brother nearby to lend a hand. We have placed a map of the world in our Lodge Room to track the Gavel's progress on its fantastic journey. It will be amazing to see the number of Brothers we have. “Never break the Chain” Sincerely and fraternally, W. Bro. Clinton Solomon
